SRINAGAR: In yet another mishap involving an IAF fighter jet, a MiG-21 aircraft on Thursday crashed in Jammu and Kashmir, near the Srinagar airport, injuring a teenaged boy and damaging a house on the ground.
The pilot of the aircraft bailed out safely when the plane crashed around 2.25 PM in Lalgam village in Badgam district damaging the house of one Ghulam Ahmad Ganai, the sources said.
An IAF spokesman in Delhi said the plane crashed coming in to land after a routine sortie.
