50000 FOUND IN ONE OF THE SEVEN CAVES OF SREE PADMANABHA SWAMY TEMPLE IN KERALA WHICH IS PROTECTED FROM TIPPU SULTHAN'S ATTACK

The Sree Padma-nabha Swamy temple here is likely to become India’s richest temple, surpassing Tirumala in Tirupati, And-hra Pradesh, with a Supre-me Court-appointed expert panel estimating that 70 per cent of the gold jewellery and diamonds retrieved fro-m its secret cellar A would amount to `50,000 crores.

Lord Vishnu is worshipped in a reclining posture in this temple. Tirumala’s Lord Balaji has gold and diamond jewellery reportedly valued at over `52,000 crores. After the panel completes an inventory of the articles found in cellar A, and opens cellar B, the value of precious articles in Padman-abha Swamy temple is exp-ected to touch astronomical heights.
